The Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Review

Juicing has become a very important part of our lives after both, my wife and I received our individual cancer diagnoses in 2009. Right from the get-go it was clear to us, that we wanted to anything we can, in order to help our bodies taking on the fight against our cancers (breast cancer in her case, kidney cancer in mine – also please check my mesothelioma and asbestos website). My wife had to undergo several surgeries and I ended up having a radical nephrectomy recently. It’s not Heart Valve Surgery but believe me, it was no fun either.

A healthy lifestyle along with a healthy nutrition seemed - including juicing – to be a perfect measure that got us started. We wanted to make sure that we did everything to preven the cancer from coming back.

But what was the right juicer for us? The Jack Lalanne Power Juicer for some reason got stuck in our heads. Probably, because we have seen so many commercials for it over the years. Even before I came over to the

Well, I guess we had to learn it the hard way. The cautious people we are, we didn’t “trust” the rather pricey Jack Lalanne Power Juicer, but rather went for a product that cost only a fourth. And I have to say, that juicer actually worked quite well. For exactly two weeks after it said “Good-Bye” to us with a loud squeaking sound before it completely shut down and refused to resume work for ever since. Okay, we thought, it might have been not the right thing for us, since we were using it up to three times a day. So we went for the the next higher price category. Not only did it look much more solid, it was also working much better and it was only half as loud as the first one  – which could’ve been mistaken for a freight train running through your backyard, in all honesty. However, there was one problem: the cleaning. For some juicers and in order to clean the reasonably, you need to be a rocket scientist with or at least you need a Ph. D. in engineering.

After a while, we simply didn’t want to put up with that anymore. As a result, we became lazy and didn’t juice as often. But that wasn’t what we wanted either – so about two years ago, I went online and bought the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer. Hands down, if I had bought it right away, I would have saved money and a lot of frustration.

We love our juicer and if that one ever goes in retirement, you can be certain that I will get a new one from Jack.
